How to play BaseofOP's Pokemon RPG

Are you wanting to be the very best? The best there ever was? Maybe explore far off lands and train beasts and make them fight alongside some of your friends? Well this RPG is for you. After many trials and tests, Base of OP is excited to give you the gameplay and rules of how to play the Pokemon RPG. Along with the how to's of the most important part: the control panel!

What is the control panel? That is the location on this website where you can see and handle all of your character and pokemon stats. "All of my pokemon's stats?", you may ask. Yes, your pokemon's stats. The control panel is like your character sheets that you would print out for any other RPG that you may be playing. Except the control panel includes so much more information and will handle many of your tedious tasks for you. Like calculating your money, exp and health.

Now before I begin with the rules and game mechanics. I would like to start with the stipulation that this is a community built game and is not perfect. IV for pokemon are not taken accounted for. Neither are specific pokemon moves they can learn. There was only so much I was able to connect together. Stats aren't built off of each pokemon's base stats, but are made up by the dm. This allows for any pokemon to be great and creates a much more open scope for those playing. If you know the stats, then to your benefit you can build your pokemon that way as the DM.

Part 1: Getting started

First thing you will need to do when you get to baseofop.com is sign up for an account. They are free and you can use one account for all the characters and campaigns that you plan on running. You can even run one campaign and have several characters you play yourself on a single account if you want, but I would suggest getting some friends together and having them play with you.

After you have signed up, it will take you to the screen shown in the image above. You have 2 options: Create a campaign or create a character in an already created campaign. If you choose create a character then make sure you have the code for the campaign you want to join. You can get that from the DM who created the campaign. From here there are two different paths that I will explain. First we will cover the explanation for the DM and then we will cover how the game works for the players.
